Note to children
Your participation will help us spread the word about Khelaghar (The Playhouse), an organization which works for children in India who are in very difficult situations. It will be great if we can come together to find some ways to support the organization.
But you can do more! Drive the website! Create it! Make it your space. Tell us what contests you would like to see. What do you want to read about? Is there something you would like to write?

Why this contest? Note to teachers and parents
The immediate purpose of this contest is to help spread the word about Khelaghar, a registered charitable organization in India. Khelaghar serves children in situations of severe disadvantage. Please take a moment to explore the site. The contest is being organized by a small group of volunteers in Canada.
Our broader goal is to get children (and youth, such as university students) involved in creating a space and virtual community, and help them think about social issues and act for social change. While we are also trying to generate resources for Khelaghar, we are as concerned about commitment and solidarity, as about resources.
Sincerely, Ananya Mukherjee Reed, Professor, York University, Toronto Sutama Ghosh, Professor, York University, Toronto Jackie Medalye & Alex Leizerowich, Medalye Designs, Toronto Tina Virmani, Ph.d student, York University, Toronto Adrienne Johnson, undergraduate student, York University, Toronto Lipi Mishra, undergraduate student, University of Western Ontario
